Question 1041041: if lines L and M are parallel what is the measure of angle 5 i will try to illustrate the diagram as best as possible the slash marks will represent the transverse line that goes thru the two parallel lines.with the angle numbers
/
______________3/4___________
2/5
____________1/6_____________
38 deg /7
when i preview the question the 2 and 5 move to the left as well as the 38 deg and the 7 all of the numbers follow the transverse thru the two parallel lines

______________3/4___________
             2/5
____________1/6_____________
     38 deg /7

Angle 5 = angle 7 because they are corresponding angles

Let x = measure of angle 7

38+x = 180
38+x-38 = 180-38
x = 142

So angle 5 is 142 degrees
