Question 154836: I have a problem dealing with finding the distance of 3 coordinate points. Here it goes: Find the perimeter of ABC if A= (2,6), B= (5,10) and C= (0,13)? I know the distance from AB is 5 (using the distance formula) and the distance from BC is sqrt. 34. Do I need to also find the distance from AC which is sqrt of 53. How do you add all those together. I'm stuck????

You've done everything right so far, and, yes, you do need to add the three distances to get the perimeter of the triangle.
P = AC + BC + AC
Now since the square roots shown here are irrational numbers, you cannot find the exact value of the perimeter, P, unless you leave it in this form.
You can, however, find an approximate value for P by taking the square roots of 34 and 53:
