The answers to both (a) and (b) are the same, as they are each
just the distinct permutations of "OMPUTE", which is 6! = 720.

That's because for each of the 720 distinct permutations of 
"OMPUTE" you can put a C on the far left and an R on the far 
right, or vice-versa.
