There are 6 members of a club; 4 women and 2 men.
(A) in how many ways can they line up for a picture?
Choose the 1st in line any of the 6 people.
Choose the 2nd in line as any of the remaining 5 people.
Choose the 3rd in line as any of the remaining 4 people.
Choose the 4th in line as any of the remaining 3 people.
Choose the 5th in line as any of the remaining 2 people.
Choose the 6th in line as any of the remaining 1 people.

6*5*4*3*2*1 = 720

OR do it this way:

6 members POSITION 6 = P(6,6) = 6! = 720- ways

(B) in how many ways can they select a man and a woman to attend a meeting?
Chnoose the man either of 2 ways.
Choose the woman any of 4 ways.

OR

C(2,1)*C(4,1) = 2*4 = 8

-----------------------------------------

(C) if 1 of the men is absent from their meeting, in how many ways could a man open the meeting and a woman close the meeting?
Choose the man 1 way
Choose the woman 4 ways.
