I could really use help on this one. I got this on a test and I want to see if the lecturer used the right term in the question. I don't know if she meant exactly two zeros or at most two zeroes because her English is not perfect. Please help. My mail is koppovalexandra@yahoo.ie

There are 9999 integers up through 9999, but the first 999 have
less that four digits, so the number of 4 digit numbers is
9999-999 = 9000. Only 9 4-digit integers have more than 2 zeros,
these: 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000.

Answer: 9000-9 = 8991
