Question 552457: In a club with 17 members, how many ways can the club elect a president and a treasurer?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P(n,r) = (n!)/((n-r)!)

P(17,2) = (17!)/((17-2)!)

P(17,2) = (17!)/(15!)

P(17,2) = (17*16*15!)/(15!)

P(17,2) = 17*16

P(17,2) = 272

So there are 272 ways.
