Question 48199: Can I use the formula for combinations of n objects for this problem?
A twenty -question, four-option multiple choice examination is given as a pre-employment test. In how many ways could a prospective employee answer this question on this test by just guessing? Assume that all questions are answered?
C= 20!/4!(20-4) = 20!/4!16! = 116280/24=4845
Thanks!!!

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Each question can be answered in 4 ways.
There are 20 questions.
20*4 = 80
I think your approach tells you the number of ways of selecting
4 of the 20 questions to answer.
Cheers,
Stan H.
