It doesn't matter that there are 3 benches.
It doesn't matter that they sit in pairs.  
That was put in there just to throw you off.

All that matters is that there are 6 places for 6 people to sit.
The problem would be the same if there were 6 chairs in a row.

here there are 6 positions and 6 persons so,
total no. of ways of arrangement = 6P6
= 6!
= 720

so, total 720 ways.....
