When the order of an arrangement does not matter, it would be a combination Permutation is applicable for ordered arrangements.
An example of a combination is to find out the number of ways to get two heads when five coins are tossed; it does not matter in which coin-toss the head appears as long as there are two heads in five tosses;
Number of ways in which a two-digit number can be formed using 1 and 2 is an example of Permutation; 12 and 21 are different because of the position of 1 and 2 in the two digit number.
