Question 151551: You are asked to use six different letters to make a computer password. Find the number of possible six-letter passwords.
Am I to assume that the six letters are already picked? If so, my answer should be 6! 6x5x4x3x2x1=720 possible combinations. Is this correct?
Thanks so much for your help!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
ASSUMING EACH LETTER CAN BE REPEATED THEN THE ANSWER IS:
6*6*6*6*6*6=46,656 COMBINATIONS OF PASSWORDS ARE POSSIBLE.
IF NO REPEATS ARE ALLOWED THEN YOU HAVE THE CORRECT ANSWER OF 720.
