can be drawn from the box where:
a. there are no restrictions
  
10 socks choose 2 = 10C2 = C(10,2) =  =  = 45
ways.
b. they are different colors c. there are the same color
Choose the blue sock 6 ways. For each of the ways we choose a blue sock, there
are 4 ways to choose a white sock.  That's 6 times 4 or 24 ways.
