Question 1157604: Formula : nPn/a!b!c!
I don't understand the formula
In what condition and how can I use this formula

Answer by ikleyn(52858)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

It is the formula for the number of all distinguishable arrangements of n items,
when there are "a" indistinguishable items of one type; "b" indistinguishable items of the other type;
and "c" indistinguishable items of the third type among these "n" items.

You may find many examples (TEMPLATES) of solved problems of this type in the lesson
    - Arranging elements of sets containing indistinguishable elements
in this site.

The lesson was specially created to present you this special class of permutation problems, and to show
the method of solution to these problems.

Read it, and after reading many things will become more clear to you.
