Question 1084431: WHAT IS THE PROBABILITY OF GETTING
53 MONDAYS IN A LEAP YEAR?

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20055)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
52 weeks is 52*7 = 364 days.

A leap year has 366 days. So every leap year has two more
of two consecutive days of the week. So there are 7 kinds of
leap years. Those which have:

1. an extra Sunday and Monday
2. an extra Monday and Tuesday
3. an extra Tuesday and Wednesday
4. an extra Wednesday and Thursday
5. an extra Thursday and Friday
6. an extra Friday and Saturday
7. an extra Saturday and Sunday

So 2 leap years out of 7 will be a case 1 or case 2 leap year
and have an extra Monday.

Answer: 2/7
