If the sum of two numbers is 18 and their product is 40, find the following with out finding the two numbers
a) the sum of the reciprocals of the two numbers
b) the sum of the squares of the two numbers (what is (x+y) squared)
This is what I have so far:
x+y = 18
xy=40

1/x +1/y =?
