You have purchased a 42-inch television with an aspect ratio of 16:9. You want to watch a movie which has an aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Find the following measurements.
Height of the television screen

For 16:9 TV:
d^2 = 9^2 + 16^2 = 337
For 42" diagonal:
d^2 = (q*9)^2 + (q*16)^2 = 42^2 = 1764
337q^2 = 1764
=~ 2.28789
W = 16q = 36.6
H = 9q = 20.6
