Hi there,
Make the number of chicos added to
box A and B = x
(Box A + x) = 3(Box B + x)
(225 + x) = 3(31 + x)
Remove brackets
225 + x = 93 + 3x
Collect like terms
x - 3x = 93 - 225
-2x = -132
Multiply both sides by -1
2x = 132
x = 66
This is the number of chicos added to
each of the boxes.
225 + 66 = 3(31 + 66)
291 = 3(97)
291 = 291
Hope this helps:-)
