the direction of a 100% solution of disinfection concentrate direct you to dilute to a 30% solution before using. if you want to make 500ml of the 30% solution how much disinfectant concentrate must be used?
-----
disin + disin = disin
1*x + 0*(500-x) = 0.30*500
-----
100x + 0 = 30*500
x = 5*30 = 150 ml (amt of concentrate to use)
500-x = 350 ml (amt of dilution to use)
