Question 938454: There are 248 children in a school hall 40% are boys how many are girls?

Answer by algebrahouse.com(1659)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If 40% are boys, then 60% are girls. Find 60% of 248.

= 248 x (0.6) {changed 60% to a decimal and multiplied}
= 148.8 {multiplied}

Assuming there is not part of a student in the hall, round up.
= 149 girls
