Out of every 3+2=5 students 3/5 are boys and 2/5 are girls. Sooooooo:
(3/5)*600=
(2/5)*600=

There are 3 boys for every 5 total students.
If there are 600 total students, then there are (3/5)(600)=360 boys (Answer)
There are 600-360=240 girls (Answer)
