A high school tennis team is scheduled to play 28 matches.if the team wins 60%of the first 15 matches, how many additional matches must the team win in order to finish the season winning 75% of its scheduled matches?
----
0.60*15 = 9 games won in 1st 15
-----
28-15 = 13 games remaining
-----
Let "x" be the additional matches won::
------
Equation:
(9+x))/28 = 0.75
-----------------------
9+x = 28*0.75 = 14
x = 5 games (# of wins needed in the 13 games remaining)
