Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1-20+5=30
2-30+5=35
3-35+5=40
4-40+5=45
5-45+5=50
6-50+5=55
7-55+5=60
1-1.2*20=24
2-1.2*24=28.8
3- 28.8*1.2=34.56
4- 34.56*1.2=41.472
5- 41.472*1.2=49.7664
6- 1.2*49.7664=59.71968
7- 59.71968*1.2=71.663616
As you can see, after 6 days the 20% raise is greater and continues to get bigger
the first plan is arithmetic
first term is 20 and the difference is 5
the second plan is geometric
the second plan the first term is 20 and the ratio is 1.2
