 48x = 6x^2

   6x^2 - 48x = 0

  6x(x-8) = 0,  x = 8  |note x = 0 is an extraneous root

 1/x+1/(2x)=3/16

2/2x+1/2x=3/16

3/2x=3/16

2x=16
