There are 20 sugar AND chocolate cookies
The ratio you are given says:
( chocolate ) / ( sugar ) = 2/3
I can say:
( chocolate ) / ( chocolate + sugar ) = 2 / ( 2 + 3 )
Let = number of chocolate cookies
Multiply both sides by
She has 8 chocolate cookies
check:
There must be sugar cookies
3/5 are sugar cookies
