To calculate 14% of an amount, multiply by (It's after all).
To increase an amount by 14%, multiply by (It's times, one time the amount, plus the times that indicates the 14% increase).
To decrease an amount by 14%, multiply by (because you want one time the amount minus the 0.14 times the amount that indicates the 14% decrease, and )
£ increased by 10% is £= £
£ increased by 47% is £= £
£ decreased by 30% is £= £
£ decreased by 25% is £= £
