The ratio of the men to the women tended in a meeting is 3:5 half of the men left and one third of the women left. What is the ratio of men to women now?

Ans:
Let the number of men be 3x. Then the number of women = 5x.

Half the men left. So number of men left = 1.5x = 3x/2
1/3 of the women left. So number of women left = 5x*2/3 = 10x/3

New ratio of men to women = = = 9:20
