Question 761160: A car's gas gague reads 1/6 full when it reaches the gas station. After 10 gallons of gas are added, the gague reads 2/3 full. what is the capacity of the gas tank?
Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Original reading = 1/6
After 10 gallons = 2/3
2/3 - 1/6 = 3/6 = 1/2
If 10 gallons = 1/2 tank then
a full tank must hold 20 gallons.
Hope this helps.
