Question 738184: I need help with a question.It is:The ratio of boys to girls in Mr.Cashtro's Religion class is 5:4 .What percent of students are boys?
I tried to divide 5/4 to get 1.25 then i put the whole class in a percent and got 125 and divide that by four to get 31.25 but i know thats not the answer....I am just confused and we have a test tommorow.anwser Asap

What percent of students are boys?
:
Percent is the boy or girl relationship to whole class which we can represent with 5+4=9.
Boys are represented by 5, therefore
* 100 = 55.56% are boys
