Answer by checkley79(3341) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
75*30=$2,250 COST OF THE APPLES.
75/3=25
25(30-.05*30)
25(30-1.5)
25*28.5=$712.50 SALE OF 1/3 (25kg) OF THE APPLES.
THE REMAINING 50 kg MUST SELL FOR:
50X+712.50=1.10*2,250
50X+712.50=2,475
50X=2,475-712.50
50X=$1,762.50 SALE OF THE LAST 50 kg.
PROOF:
2,250+.10*2,250=712.50+1,762.50
2,250+225=2,475
2,475=2,475
