A farmer brings a 300 pound watermelon to market. Unbeknownst to the farmer, two months ago this village passed a ban on the purchase of watermelons, and so it just sits out all day in the sun without anybody buying it. During this rather hot day, some of the water in the watermelon evaporates, so that by the time she packs up her wares to go home, the water has dropped from comprising 99 percent of the total fruit down to constituting 98 percent. How much does her watermelon weigh now? (remember that the water in the watermelon evaporates, but the watermelon meat does not.)

99% of 300 pounds = 0.99*300 = 297 pounds of water, 3 pounds of meat
After evaporation, the 3 pounds is now 2% of the total.
