Question 70260: IF a man invests $5,000 some at 4% and some at 6% and his annual return is $800 how much does he invest at each rate?
Answer by checkley75(3666)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE IF ALL THE MONEY ($5,000) WERE INVESTED @ 6% YOU'D ONLY EARN .06*5,000=$300. SO HOW CAN YOU EARN $800????
EITHER YOU INVEST MORE THAN $5,000 OR YOU EARN LESS THAN $800 INTEREST.
ONE OR THE OTHER OR BOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
