THE RATION OF TWO NUMBERS IS 2:5.IF THE SUM IS 84,WHAT IS THE BIGGER NUMBER?

then
(84-n) = the other the other number
=
Cross multipoly
5n = 2(84-n)
5n = 168 - 2n
5n + 2n = 168
n = 168/7
n = 24 is the smaller number
