The ratio of the number of formidable contestants to the number who were lackluster was 7 to 2. If there were 45,000 contestants, how many were formidable?

The ratio of the number of formidable contestants to the number who were lackluster was 7 to 2. If there were 45,000 contestants, how many were formidable?
------------
7+2 = 9
45000/9 = 5000
------------
7*5000 = 35000
2*5000 = 10000
