Question 579014: Can you help me with soving this: Word problem, The sales person reduced the price 14% to be able to sell the car for $3440. what was the original price of that car. How much was the price reduced?
Answer by nyc_function(2741)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let A = original price of car

A = 100/(100-14) * $3440

A = $4000

How much was the price reduced?

Let R = reduction amount

Original minus selling price

R = $4000 - $3440

R = $560
