Question 576893: If 20% of A is the 30% of B. What percent of B is A?

THE SIMPLE WAY
The problem did not give any numbers for A and B because it does not matter what they are. The answer would be the same for any B, as long as "20% of A is the 30% of B."
So we set up a convenient B.
If B was 100, 30% of B would be 30, and that would be 20% (or 1/5) of A.
So A would be 5 times 30, or 150, which is 150% of the 100 that we assumed B to be.
THE ALGEBRA WAY
20% of A is
30% of B is
We know that
What percent of B is A? Let's find out what fraction of B is A
--> --> --> --> --> -->
So A is 150% of B.
