Question 333075: I feel like a complete idiot on this one. I believe it may be just as simple as it appears, but I'm afraid I'm missing something.... Anywhoo, here's the question:
Tuition at a certain college recently increased from $9000 to $10,000. Find the ratio of the increase in price to the original price in simplest form.
And this is my response (as close to 'showing my work' as possible):
9,000:10,000
9:10
Is it just that simple or is there a much larger expectation here?
Thank you so much for your help!
