Then, the number of boys is 24 - g.
Given, (24 - g):g = 3:5
=> 5 X (24 - g) = 3 X g
=> 120 - 5g = 3g
=> -5g - 3g = -120
=> -8g = -120
=> g = -120/-8 = 15
Hence, the number of girls is 15.
