Question 320371: Ken buys a shirt on a 30% sale from its original price of 10 dollars. He then resells it at a 60% increase from the price at which he bought it. How much does Ken sell the shirt for?
Answer by nyc_function(2741)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve for 30% of $10.
= (0.3)(10) = 3 So with $3 off, he pays $7 for the shirt.
Solve for 60% of $7
= (0.6)(7) = 4.2 So he sells the shirt for $11.20
