Question 291825: How do I figure this percentage word problem out? "15 men are on the bus and 35 are women. What % of bus riders are women." I went to another website and I believe this is the way to work it out, but i'm not sure:
35-15 = 20
x% of 35 = 20
20 divided by 35 = .57 = 57/100 = 57%
Thank you in advance for your help.
