Question 286561: Could you please let me know if I did this problem correctly? If 540 million metric tons of carbon dioxide is released in the air per year and 35% of it is from other fuels, how much carbon dioxide is emitted? What I came up with is: 540/x * 35/100= 35x/54000. 54000 divided by 35= 1542.857142. Did I do it correctly? Please advise. Thank you.
