Question 286015: What would you get if you divided a half of a half of a half by a half of a fourth of a half?
a 1/2 b 3/4 c 2 d 1 e None of these.

Answer by ptaylor(2198)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
half of a half=(1/2)*(1/2)=1/4
half of a half of a half=(1/4)*(1/2)=1/8
half of a fourth=(1/2)*(1/4)=1/8
half of a fourth of a half=(1/8)(1/2)=1/16
So, (1/8)/(1/16)= multiply numerator and denominator by 16 to get rid of the complex fraction:
(1/8)*16/(1/16)*16=2/1=2
Hope this helps----ptaylor
