SOLUTION: If Lynn can type a page in p minutes, what piece of the page can she do in 5 minutes?
so the ratio would be 1:p = ?:5
that's where I go fuzzy.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! An easy way of doing these types of problems is by giving some value to p
for e.g. if p = 10
Then Lynn takes 10minutes to type 1 page
which means that in 5 minutes i.e. half the time she will type half the page
or 5/10 of the page
Now if in place of 10 i had p
then she would type 5/p of the page :-)
OR
if you've gotten till 1:p = ?:5
Then Remember "Product of Means = Product of Extremes"
or P*? = 1*5
Dividing by P on both sides
? = (1*5)/P Which is what we've got as above!!! :-)
