For a circle with a radius of 70 feet, the circumference is

3.14 is sometimes use as the value for pi, and it's approximately 22/7.

Using a calculator:
C = 2*pi*70 =~ 439.82 feet

Using 22/7:
C = 2*(22/7)*70 = 440 feet
-----------------
Using 3.14:
C = 2*3.14*70 = 439.6 feet
440 feet is close enough for most things.
It's an error of ~ 0.04%
