On Monday he completes 1/2 of his week’s work
so 1/2 of the work is remaining
Tuesday he completes 1/4th of the remainder of his work for the week(i.e.is 1/2)
so 1-1/4 that is 3/4 of the remainder of his work for the week(1/2) is to be done
so 3/4*1/2=3/8 of the entire work remains to be done
Ans: 3/8
