I thought that I knew how to do this but my tutor says I am incorrect. Please help by telling me where I went wrong. Thanks !
8 % of 464.40 = 37.12
464.40 - 37.12 = 427.28

the $464.40 includes the tax __ if x is the price before tax, then 464.40 is 100% of x plus 8% of x
