Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
she made a half a gallon of mudbug stew.
each serving of the stew is 4/5 of a cup.
there are 4 cups in a quart, 8 cups in a half gallon.
8 / (4/5) = 8 * 5/4 = 10 servings.

you can also do it by ounces.
1 cup is equal to 8 ounces.
4/5 of a cup is 4/5 * 8 = 32/5 = 6.4 ounces.
half a gallon is 2 quarts = 64 ounces.
64 / 6.4 = 10 servings.
