A city has a population of 400,000 people. Suppose that each year the population grows by 3.5%. What will the population be after 10 years?
Yes, Good to Consider what happens after one year:
100% + 3.5% = 103.5% (at the close of the first year population is 1.0325 greater)
After 10 years, the population will be:
= 400,000 (1.035)^10 = 564,240 rounded to the nearest whole number

where "t" is the time, in years.


Substitute  P(0) = 400000,  t = 10
