The ratio of carbon to hydrogen to oxygen in a compound is 5:4:1. If the mass of hydrogen is 1.5*10^(-20) grams, what is the mass of the compound?
-----
mass of::
carbon = 5x
hydrogen = 4x
oxygen = x
-------
Equation:
mass of hydrogen = 4x = 1.5*10^(-20)
x = 3.75*10^(-21) is the mass of oxygen)
mass of carbon = 5x = 1.875*10^(-20)
