Original dimensions::
A = L*W
----
If one dimension increases by 25%::
A = (1.25L)*x
------
Substitute and solve for "W":
1.25Lx = LW
W = (1.25Lx)/L
W = 1.25x
x = W/(1.25)
x = (4/5)W = 0.8W
Ans: The other dimension must be multiplied by 80% or decreases by 20%.
