5 apples at 10 oranges go into a bag
That would be 4 bags of apples and oranges sold for 4*20x=80x cents
The cost is 20x cents + 40(x+10) cents=20x+40x+400=60x+400 cents
She obtained $24.00 from selling, which is 2400 cents=80x cents
x=30 cents
She paid $6 for the apples, and the answer wanted is 30 cents per apple.
She paid $16 for the oranges ($0.40*40)
