If 85% were removed, 15% remain.
240*0.15=36
10 per cent of anything ending in a 0 is the rest of the number, so 10% of 240 is 24
5% is half of ten percent, and half of 24 is 12.
Therefore, 15% of 240 is 24+12=36.
